SCA Xeriscaping, Container Gardening

All of us have noticed the large xeriscaping project that has just occurred at the Sun City Anthem Center. Are there additional xeriscaping projects planned? Are trees in other areas being removed? Will grass in some areas be replaced? To answer these questions and more, Sandy Seddon, SCA Chief Operating Officer, will be one of the guest speakers at the March 10th meeting of the SCA Garden Club. She will explain what motivated the landscaping changes and how successful they are. She’ll be accompanied by Larry “The Plant Guy” Fasson, and his boss, Shawn Evans, SCA Facilities Director, who can fill us in on design decisions, plant selections, variety preferences, etc. Bring your questions! This presentation will begin promptly at 9:30 AM.

At 10:00 AM we’ll hear from SCA Resident, Ron Avery, who will share his experience with growing herbs, vegetables, and flowers in containers with hydroponics. Ron has a lot of details, and a lot of supplies to share. You won’t want to miss this!
