Newcomers and Membership
All residents of Sun City Anthem are encouraged to join the SCA Garden Club. Visitors may attend two meetings at no cost prior to registering for membership. Newcomers can use this opportunity to get to know fellow members of the club, pose gardening questions to them and our speakers, and learn more about the presentations and field trips that we offer.
Dues for new members in the calendar year 2024 are $15. The registration form is attached. You are welcome to print it and complete it or you can request a copy by sending an email request to SCAGardenClub20@gmail.com. You can also pick up a printed copy of the form at the Club kiosk in the Anthem Center. Registrations with payment can be dropped in our club mailbox in the Anthem Center across from the Fitness desk or be given to any club officer. Payment by check is preferred. If paying in cash, exact change is required. New members are welcome to join at any time of year.
Renewal membership payments are due in January and are considered late by the end of February. Members who do not renew by March 1 are removed from the club roster.
Newcomers are encouraged to spend some time reviewing the contents of this website. Past and upcoming meetings are highlighted in the Calendar. Meetings are listed with most recent on top. The Field Trips section offers ideas for outings that will appeal to gardeners. Some are just a few minutes from Anthem, while others are as much as a four-hour drive away. The Additional Resources section on the home page lists several places to turn for expert advice on your gardening questions.
