On Monday, April 12, 2021, 22 SCA Garden Club members, friends and family visited the Springs Preserve while 3 more members joined the event via Zoom! It was the perfect April morning - sunny and warm but not too hot with a light breeze and the blooms at the Preserve were at their finest! "Pop-up" learning opportunities occurred throughout the venue. The train ride provided easy access to 110 acres of the property with a very informative narration playing as we rode.
Photos of the site and the blooms can be seen below. We also saw birds attracted to this desert treasure, including Western Kingbird, Phainopepla, Verdin, Northern Mockingbird, Mourning Dove, several White-crowned Sparrows and of course the Hummingbirds!
