Late March into April, head South on I-11 across the new bridge at Hoover Dam. The hillsides will put on a show of lime, green and Yellow with Brittlebush in bloom everywhere. Turn Right at the Willow Creek sign to descend to the Colorado River in this hidden gem of the Lake Meade National Recreation Area. In addition to Brittlebush and Globe Mallow, this site has a variety of blooming cactus and Oleander. It will take about an hour and 10 minutes to make this drive from Sun City Anthem.
