Monday, November 14, 2022 at 9:30am at the INDEPENDENCE Center will be the next SCA Garden Club Meeting. Note that this fall the Club began its new tradition of meeting on Mondays rather than Tuesdays. We meet on the 2nd Monday of each month. Also, our meetings have moved to the Morris/Nelson rooms at the Independence Center to accommodate our growing membership.
The Club is lucky to have Bob Morris, who is a horticulture expert and professor emeritus of the University of Nevada, speak to us at our next meeting. If you have a specific question, you would like Bob to address during our meeting, please send it, along with a photograph if available to: scagardenclub20@gmail.com by October 31st. Given the time allotted for questions and answers we will do our best to get everyone’s question answered. Please be as specific as you can with your questions.
Our annual Club election will also be held at the November meeting. Nominations and self-nominations will be accepted at any time between now and the election on November 14. Nominations may be made at a Club meeting or submitted to a Board member, who is not a candidate. Candidates may step forward or be nominated at the election meeting on November 14. For our election purposes, a quorum is represented by those attending the meeting.
Remember to bring your SCA ID card to show at the front desk, then check in with the club when you arrive at the meeting room. If you are not yet a member you are welcome to join us at no charge for up to 2 meetings to get to know us better. We hope you'll like what you see and learn!
