Toxins In The Garden

Our second ZOOM meeting was conducted on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at 10am. Master Gardener Gail Brandys spoke to us and the local Master Gardening community on the topic of "Toxins in the Garden."

Gail Brandys is the President of Occupational and Environmental Health Consulting Services in Las Vegas, NV and has spent over 35 years in adult safety education.

She completed the Master Gardener training program through the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension here in Las Vegas in 2017. She has been an avid gardener for many decades on the East Coast, Midwest and for the past eleven years in Las Vegas.

She has a Masters Degree in Industrial Safety Management from Northern Illinois University and a Bachelors Degree in Secondary Science Education from the University of Delaware. She maintained her Certified Safety Professional status for over 25 years.

She has conducted numerous Hazardous Materials Evaluations in industrial environments in her day job and has employed a variety of safety techniques in her gardening hobby for many years.

She has maintained numerous asbestos professional licenses for over 25 years and has written five books on chemical and microbial safety with her husband Dr. Bob Brandys.
